About the Music
The focus of Lisa's music tends to be love, family, friends, and the beauty of nature. "My purpose is to share songs that uplift and unify, ultimately promoting a sense of joy and harmony." The mood of the music ranges from contemplative to upbeat and danceable, with lyrics that are penetrating and memorable. The poetry is paramount, often conveying a message that could be interpreted at several levels. She's My Sister and World of Love are jazz-flavored songs about the oneness of humanity, whereas Lookin' for a Miracle and Wanting Good Things for You are playful love songs. One thing remains constant: the content is always positive and respectful. As one listener commented, "The message is meaningful and yet very accessible."

The music is a blend of acoustic rock, jazz and folk styles. The songs feature various combinations of lead and harmony vocals, guitars, cello, flute, piano, bass, drums and percussion, together creating beautiful, rich textures. Moods and settings capture a range of feelings. July Lullabye has a lush and dreamy setting featuring soaring vocals against a backdrop of guitars and cello, while Wanting Good Things is a rock 'n roll tune complete with an electric guitar solo. The musical variety of this CD promises an engaging listening experience.
